Inventory: We never seem to have enough of the right stuff, but we always have plenty of the wrong stuff! Management of what is usually the single largest asset of the company is rarely given the priority it deserves. Come find out how to keep track of it AND manage it. The purchasing process, including rejections and returns, will be discussed along with all the other ways to bring inventory in and take it out, while maintaining control. Control of inventory doesn't happen in a vacuum. We will discuss cycle counting, physical inventories, and cost considerations, as well as the impact of balances and 'on order' status on MRP.
